A Steinway and Sons antique Art Nouveau Aeolian Duo Art Grand Piano, produced by Aeolian Piano Company (New York) under contract with Steinway. Serial number 259229. Originally produced in 1928 in an American Walnut finish. Currently featuring a custom hand painted design in the style of old world Venetian furniture. Traditional Art Nouveau palette with golds, beiges, pinks, greens, and yellows, having floral and figural designs throughout. Raised stamp to interior cast iron plate STEINWAY & SONS NEW YORK PATENT GRAND CONSTRUCTION STEINWAY FOUNDRY CASTING TUBULAR METALLIC ACTION FRAME PAT. 12/12 - S 5882. Accompanied by April 1992 issue of "Architectural Digest" magazine featuring the piano itself and a previous owner, Adolph Zukor (1873-1976), founder of Paramount Pictures. Includes matching piano stool.

Dimensions: 40.5 X 59 X 77 in.

Condition: Good overall condition with mild surface wear and losses. Piano has not been tested or played. Will need to be professionally tuned and or repaired. Includes a small group of wood pieces from its construction. Estate fresh to the market.
